    Question Renegade Industrial Bandsaw

    Hi all, and happy new year!

    I'm looking to upgrade my small shop a little and I'm in the market for a bandsaw. I'm pretty much a hobbyist/enthusiast at this point, making boxes and small things like that, and I'd be keen to get a bandsaw that suits that kind of work, with perhaps the potential for a bit of light(ish) resawing of the recycled wood I tend to use. I don't have a huge budget, and I have been keeping an eye of the second-hand market without too much luck.

    I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Renegade Industrial bandsaws sold through Trade Tools: TradeTools | Huge Range, Great Service. This seems like a fairly good price for a 14 inch bandsaw with a fairly decent motor, but I'm not well-versed enough in this type of machine to know if there are other issues. Is this good value for money, or would it be more worthwhile trying to stretch to something like a Carbatec model on the other side of a thousand dollars?

    Appreciate your advice and opinions!!

    I purchased a sizable bandeau from I Wood Like last year. I think SCM brought them in. It might be worth a call to SCM to see if they have stock. They were heavily discounted

    Cheers! I had a look on their site, and they do look like quite sizeable bandsaws - probably a bit large for my needs at the moment, unfortunately.
