I know it's not in Australia, but Lee Valley
"offer a range of blades [1/8 x 14 tpi, 1/4 x 6 tpi, 3/8 x 4 tpi and 1/2 x 3 tpi] that fit the Rikon 10" deluxe bandsaw (models 10-306 and 10-3061). "
Lee Valley don't say how thick the blade stock is, but it'd be fair to assume that the stock meets KMS's suggestions for blade thickness vs wheel diameter.
In respect to the Rikon 14" saw, Lee Valley
"offer a range of blades [3/16 x 10 tpi, 1/4 x 6 tpi, 3/8 x 4 tpi, 1/2 x 3 tpi, 5/8 x 3 tpi] that fit the Rikon 14" deluxe bandsaw (model 10-326)."
Henry Bros [Australian manufacturer] offer the following stock [carbon steel] blades. Additional toothing options may be available for their 0.020" bands. GREEN matches with KMS's for an 6" to 8" saw, RED matches KMS for an 8" to 10" saw, BLUE matches KMS for a 12" to 14" saw
IMPERIAL TEETH 2 3 4 6 8 10 14 18 1/8 x 0.18 1/8 x .025 3/16 x .020 3/16 x 0.25 1/4 x .025 3/8 x .025 1/2 x .025
Personally, given the range of blades available from Lee Valley in the US and Canada for Rikon 10" saws, and the current very sharp AUS pricing for Rikon's 10" model band saw, plus your space [and $$] constraints, I think it would be worth your while to have a conversation with Henry Bros about the blade options they can offer that are suitable for a 10" saw.regards from Alberta, Canada

Red matches KMs for an 8 to 10 saw
Yes it does but its 6tpi which you inferred was unsuitable for the sawing I was doing

yes, I did suggest that 6 tpi was too many teeth when sawing through 40 mm hardwood.
However, the point I was trying to convey is if Henry Bros can source 0.020 thick steel strip that is then toothed and sharpened by them, asking the question as to whether they can tooth the same thickness stock at 3 or 4 tpi has to be a worthwhile question to ask.
Now I don't know if Henry Bros' purchases strip that is 3/16" wide and then cut the teeth, or whether the 3/16" offered is slit off a wider band. If the latter, then the 1/8 x 14 tpi, 1/4 x 6 tpi, 3/8 x 4 tpi and 1/2 x 3 tpi bands sold in the US and Canada are all options.regards from Alberta, Canada
