I have a Jet one packaged up somewhere that was advertised in the old market place, but the sale never eventuated. As I understand it there are different profiles to the throat castings used on the 14" bandsaws. The Jet and the Gary Pye ones were beefier than other's I looked at. The kit includes the longer bolt and blade guard you need if you insert a riser in addition to the riser bock itself. If you are interested I can measure the casting to see if might fit the Hafco.

I have a craftmaster bandsaw , and fitted a commercially available raiser kit. The saw functions as well after fitting as it did before. Increased the cutting height as intended. Go for it.

Hi Deckell, I'll work out postage and PM you. If you find it doesn't fit when you get it, there was another member who has expressed interest in the kit who has a Jet, perhaps in that case you could work out a deal with him.

Hi Deckell.
Did the Jet riser block work on the Hafco bandsaw? I've got the 14" cast iron saw (BP-14a) & am also looking to raise it.
I realise it's an old thread, but would appreciate the info if you're still checking. Thanks.

Hopefully he will see this as he was on a couple of days ago so still active. If he doesn't you can always send him a PM.

Did we get a reply on this? Our club has a BP14 which could use elevation.

Hi Dennis.
Derrick let me know that it didn't work for him initially, but also that it looks like it should work, so he'll have another go at it in the future.

riser block.
Hello Jamie yes it seems to have worked ok. as the English say when you have been feeling unwell for a while they are feeling poorly. now that i am back on my feet again. at the first attempt it was not cutting square with the fence. i have had another go to true it up and its about a 1mm out but i think i can fix that. the main problem was that the guide dowel holes in the riser block were not the same as the holes in the base of the band saw. as my engineering skills were lacking in the measurement side of the operation. i now have it secured with clamps for the trial run, and i will drill some new dowel holes.i hope this all makes sense.best regards deckell.
