    Talking Rockwell bandsaw

I need a bandsaw. Magnet Mart have a Rockwell 230 cm on special offer $179. Does any know anything about this machine?
Also, what should I be looking out for in buying my first bandsaw

    Default Bandsaws.

    Hi MFU,
If you are going to make very small items, well yes, but otherwise it is a bit of a toy.
It would use a very thin blade, as it has to get around those small wheels.

I think you could maybe find a 14in. B/Saw, here on the Forums, $200 / 280, should buy one, in good nick.

If you want to spend a bit more, an 18in / 460mm. would be the go.
I know very little about these bigger Saws.

I have had the 14in. / 360mm for many years now & it had never missed a beat.

    I mainly use Hakasson Blade, 3/8in x 6TPI Skip Tooth x 2375mm Long.
    Regards,
    issatree.
