Sharpening Bandsaw Blades ???
I was wondering if you can resharpen the "standard" $20 bandsaw blades that you get from CarbaTec. I know this maybe a pretty dumb question for some but i'm not sure if they are like the cheap handsaw that once they are blunt you throw them out. Thanks Pete.

Its only 3 TPI so it's not too intense. Thanks for the reply.

You might find that you get a better deal (price/quality) at Specialty Saws in Croydon, quality US or German stock, made to length in virtually any tooth format around, quick turnarond, close to home and very experienced in sharpening industrial bandsaw blades to about 8in wide. Tell Barry that Mal suggested them. Young Barry lives in Mooroolbark too.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Sharpening band saw blades is a long process for me cause you have to sharpen one tooth at a time. Check this blog Sharpening bandsaw blades

The Blade.
Hi Woodtryer,
It is a piece of cake. I sharpen 6TPI, & you only have 3TPI.
Have a go, as it is very easy.
You may not even have to remove the Blade from the Saw, well I don't anyway.
Check the Previous Posts/ Threads, & you will find all the info on that job.Regards,
issatree.
