    I used the second method Cliff has shown on 115mm X 4850mm blades for a bandsaw mill & it worked fine.
    It's a bit nerve racking but you do the same thing in reverse to uncoil it! :eek: :eek:

    I dont see the problem with bandsaw blades ..... perhaps I am fortunate but I have no problem uncoiling or recoiling them.

    I did have smoe shades for the car that when folded needed the same technique as folding a bandsaw blade do perhaps that was good practice.

    G'day,

    I've never had a problem. It's like folding a photographers lighting reflector, hold in two hands and turn your wrists one to you and the other other away from you.
    I make things, I just take a long time.
