Default Space Age Ceramics Bandsaw Guides - Anyone have experience with these?

    Hi,
I came across this USA website: spaceageceramics.com which sells, via the Internet, a wide range of ceramic bandsaw guides for reasonable (compared to Felder and Laguna) prices in US $.
Has anyone on the forum had experience with these guides? If so, I'd like to hear from you especially if you bought replacement guides in the European style (in other words, Laguna, Felder, etc)
    Thanks in advance

I have not had experience with ceramic guides although I have used ( extensively ) bandsaw with custom made carbide guides which would have a similar result and it was the most accurate bandsaw I have ever used, the blades seemed to last forever. The guides never needed replacing

Can someone describe what to expect when ceramic guides replace the steel types? Are they more silent? Smoother (well, I expect that, along with less heat)? Does this show up on a cut?

Also, has anyone used these on a Hammer 4400, and which set to buy?

    Regards from Perth

I have replaced the roller guides on my Hammer N4400 as I didn't like the original roller guides. They were either too stiff or too loose. The part number for the upper guide is ST 423-035 and the lower guide is ST 423-036. I found the guides very good and very quiet if set correctly and I cannot fault the cuts. Very expensive though!
