Steel City 18" band saw
Anyone owning a Steel City 16",18" or 20" bandsaw, please reply. I have questions concerning table alignment.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. You have asked a question in an Aussie based forum and I don't think many of us have heard of that brand. From the pictures on the interweb it looks like a generic Chinese one, sold under many brands, but I could be wrong. There are quite a few Americans on here, so if you are lucky you may get some help.
Bit cold up your way at present?
Rgds,
Crocy.

Hello, what problems have you got with the saw?
Forgive me if I am teaching granny, but if its just a matter of adjustment....
To square the table to the blade (with full tension on it)
you could make yourself or buy a bandsaw buddy, there should be some oversized holes on the trunnion.
Whilst you're doing that
Get a suitable square for the back of the blade making sure the table is 90 degrees for cutting tenons square,
and whilst you're at that, there may be some adjustment to those nuts or shims which might be under the table
to flatten the table if need be, i.e no step where the slot for the blade is.
I have to do so with my machine, as the big table can be manipulated,
Tom
