No problems, I got a nice even cut, it tracked the line perfectly and left a reasonably smooth finish to boot.
That's very nice there Steve ... great that you have single-handedly dragged and wrestled this machine kicking and screaming into usefulness
I reckon the two of you will get along better and better over time.
No doubt you can be quite a bit happier with everything at $300-odd rather than $400-odd.
    All the best,

Thanks for your help, too, Paul. I appreciate it.

I learned a lot about bandsaws from this, so it served a purpose. I'm not a complete novice any more.

Yes - the advantage of having all that trouble is that you start to know your machine inside out.

    Eureka, or Bingo, or whatever!

It cuts like this now, more than acceptable, and at 3-4 times the feed rate: -
(Any roughness in this cut is only because I was stopping and starting, steering along a line to check tracking.)
Glad to read that you finally solved your problems. I have this BS and have not yet taken the time to fully set up.

This thread will be of great assistance. I have read of many people have great results from the "Snodgrass" method.
