Default Universal WA-14 Wood Cutting Bandsaw

I have been given a Universal WA-14 bandsaw. Have not been able to find any documentation or manuals, and it has a broken upper wheel tension adjuster so I'm looking for spares. I realise that it is pretty 'mature'. Any help/information wuld be appreciated. on where to get hold of manuals. etc, and where I could possibly have the part repaired.
    Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
That saw was indeed universal and came under many brand names. I had the Hare and Forbes one and actually got that same part from them. It was about 14 years ago but you could start the search by asking them.
    Regards

thank you very much for that - will check with them tomorrow morning, would be lot easier (and cheaper) then the USA places that seem to have the same bandsaw & parts.

    Many thanks for the info

Hello again John, would you possibly have the model number of the 14" bandsaw that you got from Hare and Gorbes?
    Thank you

Sorry I sold that saw well over 10 years ago so dont have the info on it anymore. I would just ask H&F if they still stock spares for the old cast iron 14'' bandsaw and if so then take in the part with you to see if it is a match. You could also put up a pic of the part and perhaps someone else on here may be able to point you to a spare.
    Regards
    John

    Is it this one?Bandsaw1.JPG
I've scrounged up this scanned manual which is mostly legible.
    CII WA-14M Band saw.pdf - Google Drive.
Mine has a label on it saying it was sold from Gregory Machinery. Gregory Machinery don't keep spare parts under that model number specifically but I managed to get replacement trunions from them when I broke both while shipping the unit on first collection. I sent them photos and dimensions of the broken parts and they confirmed they had some in stock.
Good luck, they're old pieces of kit.
    Where are you located btw?

I'm looking for the same part. Let me know if you find a supplier. H&F have it on their website but it's on back order.
