Check the sleeve/tyre is seated properly also nothing trapped under the tyre, wheel is mounted correctly
Check balance of the wheel
Check Bearing
Check blade is not bent /kinked, partially split about to break
Check lower wheel as well

Hi China,
How do you check the balance of the driven wheel?

Hi,
what is a "driven blade pulley" on a bandsaw? I expect I know this by another name, could someone tell me the other name?

I assume he is referring to the lower wheel which in pretty much all band saws is the one with the drive pulley att.

First remove the blade, run the saw with no load, see if the wheel is running true and vibration free and bearing is good if the answer is yes, then it is most likely something that you are adding to the train e.g. the blade or upper wheel

Hi Ross,
did you remove the lower wheel from the bandsaw in order to fit the new rubber tire (sleeve) on the wheel?
