    Default Not a virgin anymore

Well I guess it had to happen, I broke my first bandsaw blade 10 minutes ago and the mongrel thing is only a few weeks old.

So I suppose my next question is, Who in Canberra can fix my broken blade?

Any tips out there on who to see?

    cheers for now

You're best off buying a new one. Can't help with a Canberra supplier, but Henry Bros. are good with mail/phone order.
Let me guess how you did it: cross cutting a round log? (been there, done that!)

You could give Fitch Sharpening Service a buzz.

13/18 Whyalla Fyshwick (02) 6228 1622 (Across the road from the Petrol Station and around the back). While your there goto the shop out front and have a perusal!

Well I popped into Fitch Sharpening, and they couldn't have helped me enough, got myself a new blade and can get the old one fixed for next to nix.

Wouldn't have minded having a walk through their workshop though, drool

Good old fashioned service. A bargain at twice the price!

I get all my U-Beaut stuff from their retail shop that faces Whyalla, its usually all in stock and Brian is more than willing to talk you through using it.

On the first visit I missed the main shop as I parked right next to the workshop and assumed that was the shop, mmmm not much in here i thought.
Today I took the broken blade in and asked if this was the shopfront, Brian just pointed out the door and said its over there, Oh near the big sign I didn't see.

So tomorrow is my day for traction
