I stumbled on this by accident the other night and couldn't turn it off. Absolutely amazing.

Yes move over Mathius. If he sold that as a kit he would be on a winner.

The left tilt of the blade whilst the table stays horizontal is nice.
I guess the table is adjustable sideways to accomodate the blade movement.
I an ad in a UK wood magazine a few decades ago advertising a European made small bandsaw with this ‘ship saw’ tilt feature. Vaguely remember the ad said due to upcoming EU safety regulations tilting tables would be banned in future. I’ve done bit of googling on this and nothing comes up except full size ship saws with this ability. The proposed reg must have been killed off.

His use of wooden wheels is neat but I came across the photo below of an old large bandsaw with wooden wheels where the blade runs on the wood with no tyre.
It was probably done like this as the casting of iron spoked wheels was still problematic due to shrinkage and mould density issues.

A older mate mentioned cork tyres were used on bandsaw.
Ive seen large horizontal resaws which utilise auto or motorbike wheels and tyres online.
With bicycle tyres getting wider eg 2.4” I wonder if these could be used once the knobs/tread has worn off.
