Thread: Woodfast Bandsaw

I have a BS500 which is a competent enough bandsaw except for the Euro style guides fitted to the "version" I purchased through Hare & Forbes / A Mans Toyshop.
It seems the various importers of the Woodfast line of bandsaws have quite different specifications and packages, i.e. with or without roll away base; some specs with roller guides, some with Euro style and no doubt other specification changes as well. Buyer beware - check the specification, before purchase.Mobyturns

Thanks China, I'm going to drop in to their showroom today, their machines are a little more expensive than their direct comparable competitors, so hoping their build quality is high!

Thanks Mobyturns,
I had a close look at the saw today and it has roller bearings for both the blade side guides and the rear guide (which rolls along the blade rather than the rear of the blade riding on the side of the bearing as in the other models about this price range). The machine looks pretty sturdy, with a solid base cabinet and decent thickness metal all round. I'm leaning towards this model unless there is any other opinions out there??
