Annoying but interesting
FWIW
Had a concrete truck parked across the street this morning unloading concrete and the whole time he was there none of our remotes would work.
Gate and garage door as well as both cars.
Soon as he moved 15 metres everything worked again.
I have had similar before with another property where the garage door would go up when people across the street changed tv channels.

Radio Frequency Spectrum Management is a rather complex issue these days. All devices must comply with Australia's radio frequency spectrum management plan
The situation you describe with the concrete agitator / pump is possibly caused by the operator remotely controling the equipment from a wireless console. Annoying but not life threatening.
Any device using radio spectrum must comply with Australia's radio frequency management plan, and be licensed or at least permitted to be used in an area.
Spectrum allocations and hence licensing differ across Australia, from metro to regional etc. They allocate the spectrum and region that a frequency/frequencies (Tx/Rx) is licensed to be used in. The same frequency allocation/s can be assigned to licenses in multiple but different regions so that they are unlikely to interfere with other legitimate users of spectrum. So equipment using a frequency allocation licensed for a metro area may cause interference to other operators in say a regional area or in another area it is not licensed to be used in.
I've seen and been involved in tracing a number of significant issues, plus my day job as a surveyor with a Telco involved radio path design,
- Surveyors using high precision differential GPS hired from a metro based vendor using them in Townsville and taking out Harbour / Port comms with their GPS's continuous data stream (not voice). They and the vendor were unaware of the licence breach or the havoc they were causing.
- mine and construction site comms taken down from similar applications. Very significant hazard with machine guidance these days.
- emergency services comms affected - potentially life threatening.
- over "permitted" power transmission equipment "blasting" permitted users.
- clearing of allocated spectrum for sale i.e. Telco's existing radio equipment / paths redesigned to clear spectrum for 4G and 5G sale to mobiles
With TV reception issues and the mobiles telco upgrades to 4G & 5G infrastructure some existing TV antenna systems with "filters" may experience interference as the filter may not manage the new frequency use in an area.

1. My wireless front door bell rings occasionally in broad daylight when I'm in my study by my front door and can see that there's no way anyone pushed the button. Presumably something else nearby on the same channel.
2. Many years ago I read of a bloke in the USA who had a simmering but secret resentment towards his neighbour. He was in his neighbour's garage on some innocent occassion and noted the dip switch settings on the garage door motor, then went to Radio Shack or similar and bought a compatible remote control and set it accordingly. Then amused himself by occasionally dropping the door on his neighbour's car, which no end of investigations by his neighbour's technicians could solve.

Yea makes sense, didn't think of his remote for dumping concrete.
Had no trouble when he moved to the next driveway but soon as he went back to the first driveway, our remotes stopped working again.
Problem I have this morning is the same problem I had a couple of days ago, gate remote only opens the gate half way.
I tried new battery (albeit cheap one) but might have to get better quality battery.
Hmmmm??? Any suggestions on this one.???

Edit.. Problem solved with gate only opening half way.
Was not remote problem but adjustment problem.
The rail with the teeth along the bottom of the gate had a join at half way, and this join was a little low making the motor sense something was stopping it from opening and needed raising, so, loosen 2 screws, adjust rail up by 2mm, retighten screws.
Thanks again for the help.
The gate motors come with a plastic key which, when inserted in the gate motor and turned one way, unlocks the gate gearing so the gate can be opened manually.
That's how I found it was jamming slightly.
