Casting/mirroring to Hisense TV from ipad
Not really electronics but then again not really computer so here it is. Any help would be appreciated.
I bought myself a low end Hisense “Smart” TV as a 2nd unit. It has a source called “Anyview” which is for casting from other items to the TV screen.
I want to mirror from my iPad to the TV
I can can add a Chromecast to cast YouTube, replays of TV shows via iView or 7 plus etc. or use the built in apps in the TV- that’s not what I’m after. I want to cast/mirror my iPad screen straight to the TV without intermediary items like Chromecast, Apple TV etc.
Win 10 allows me to cast/mirror my laptop straight to the TV via Anyview - excellent. I have a program called Airserver which allows me to mirror my iPad, iPhone straight to the PC screen - excellent. I can then mirror the PC to the TV but it’s only a work around. Most of the casting apps in the Apple app shop get terrible reviews.
Has as anyone done this between an Apple product and a Hisense TV?
If so, I’m all ears
Cheers

I tried some crap from eBay and ended up in disputes due to the items not working fully and being fakes of a real deal item.
Many of the items on ebay called AnyCast are fakes. There’s a “how to identify fakes” on the AnyCast website but you actually need to buy one and hook it up to find it’s a fake One thing I also found is the logo - the real deal has an eye in the centre and the fake has a square but unfortunately, all the pics. on eBay fake sellers sites, show the real logo
Ended up buying the Jaycar 4K wi-Fi HDMI Miracast dongle. It appears to be a licensed version of the Mirascreen unit.
Miracasts to an older Sony Bravia from my laptop beautifully and Airplay’s to the Hisense TV.
More info:
NOTE: if I was playing videos eg YouTube from the laptop to the TV I’d use Chromecast over this item. It’s more stable. I use it mainly so I have a big screen when using the laptop remotely.Last edited by Lappa; 14th December 2019 at 12:33 PM. Reason: More info
