    Default Purchasing VFD's

    Hey Guys,

I am about to buy a 3P machine that will require a VFD to run on 240V. I have read extensively about them and feel comfortable giving it a go. I was just wondering how people were going about buying Powtran VFDs. I have seen on older posts people have purchased directly from them and payed via western union. Has anyone done this recently? Is it it still a good idea to buy a couple to spread out the postage cost and additional fee's?

    Thanks,
    Tom

I purchase from them regularly and have done so for about 9 years now with no issues using international money transfer. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself I can arrange it for you, PM me your phone number if you would like to have a chat. I can also arrange for technical assistance in both the purchase and after you receive it if required as well by someone who has had industry experience with VFD's and long experience with Powtran VFD's.

Yeah I bought a couple of Powtrans off them about 12-18 months ago, don't recall having to do western union though [emoji2961]

Things have changed, they used to use PayPal but no longer offer it.

I haven't bought anything from them for ~12 months and had to use WU but the last thing I heard was that they were looking at using PP again? When was the last time you bought one Chris?

When I bought my last pair of VFDs the shipping was was done by weight but total weight of purchase had to fall inside a weight bracket to get a worthwhile shipping saving.

Yeah I had seen your last few posts regarding them on here and the metal work side, was interested if you had had any more recent info.

My relationship with them has always been a true commercial one so it differs a bit from Bob's. I have dealt with them in the last few months buying quite a few for some forum members. If anyone wants a VFD give me a call or contact me via PM or the Autoblast Gates website, whatever works for you.
