I can't tell by the name plate if they are ∆ or Y - maybe take photos of the inside (cover and box) of the junction box - sometimes they show if the can be converted on in the junction box.

If not then the motor has to be opened up and then checked by a sparky.

If they are already ∆ (some Jet motors are) then they cannot be converted at all.

BTW I would not bother with a 2HP motor as they have little reserve even on a 12" impeller.. As soon as they are spun up past 50Hz they will be drawing far too much current and liable to over heat. A 3HP motor can usually spin a 13" impeller at 60Hz and a 4HP can spin an even larger one at higher speeds.

    Thanks Bob,

    I won't bother with these 2 then.

I will need to read a bit about what systems will suit what I want. I was a git excited as they had 6 inch ports.

    Regards,

    Ray

Are these the junction boxes. There was nothing on the inside of the covers.

Unfortunately its not possible to tell from those connections - it would require the motor to be opened up and bit of poking around in the coils - definitely a job for a sparky.
