Unhappy .5 m3 Ancient Kauri Timber w/ certificates to prove age 4,000/50,000 yo

FOR QUICK SALE MUST GO ASAP REFLECTED IN PRICE, SHIPPING COSTS TO BE MET BY BUYER, SHIP ANYWHERE IN AU OR WORLD FOR A FEE, REASONABLE RATES

Opportunities like this are very rare !!

((($1500 is the buy now price, sorry for confusion as I had originally listed this as an auction with a lower start because I thought it was mandatory, no auction, private cash sale, cheers)))

Ancient Kauri Timber w/ certificates to prove age 4,000/50,000 yo, THIS MEANS WAS BURRIED AND PERFECTLY CHEMICALLY PRESERVED IN WET PEAT SWAMPS IN NORTH OF NZ 4,000 FOR THE YOUNGER AND 50,000 THE OLDER ARE THE DATES A NATURAL DISASTER BURRIED THE WHOLE TREES, TO BE RECLAIMED AND ECO EXTRACTED FOR MODERN MILLING AND CRAFT WORK, WOW !!

Highly saught after exotic fine craft timber

SEASONED APPROX 15+ YEARS PLUS KILN DRIED, BEEN IN MY STORAGE AS YOU SEE IN PIC SINCE 2009, MILLED AROUND 1996

Certificates from University of Waikato Radio Carbon Dating Lab.

half a cubic meter of NZ Ancient Kauri, .5m3 - buyer takes lot

All good clear and clean seasoned wood, a few lengths may be beaued or bent marginly ut very usable

Cost BIG $ /m3 then the copious fumigation/crating/shipping/landing/customs/freight etc etc, invluding weeks of work to get it to Australia 5 years ago, now what remains which is enough to supply me for life must go as in the way currently and I currently have no time for woodwork.

Some has amazing figure as pictured, some whitebait also, not plain AK

I made exotic wooden flutes and furnature from it, and sold it all over the world on ebay when I had time, now busy with new job

    makes amazing crafts

    some 200 and 150 x 55 x 1800 approx, enough to build a table and chairs

    the rest is 100 and 50 x 50 mixed

Ancient timber been sitting in swamp until reclaimed, search wikipedia

very rare and very valuable outside NZ

Very bellow cost price so please no bata, haggling or low balling

(no slabs sorry please do not ask)

Will take better pics for serious buyer but all deep in dark cool shed currently racked out in storage I prefer to wait to pull it out in sun for pics till it is worth the effort, PM me to chat about options

After speaking with the vendor, I am now aware this is an auction and what I thought was the asking price is the reserve. Therefore my offer is withdrawn and I revert to auction mode.

I just checked the Gumtree Ad and it has Kyogle as it's location.

Is that correct ....It may affect bidders if they can pick it up.

He gave me a little to play with, and its good stuff. Very smooth. Doubt it'll bend well though, so I'm out, but its beautiful stuff. Very smooth.

I've never seen him yell, so the caps use doesn't mean anything.

He's a nice guy….. but then I do live in town , and have recently realised that ar*e kissing people makes good business sense….

    I'M JOKING ! (i'm not yelling either).

    It really is good stuff.

    cheers

Default Detailed Pictures and Full Measurements

OOOPS Sorry guys hehehe (my turn to joke) I didn't mean to to bruise the grain with my caps use - am I allowed to use it sparingly I trust there's enough tolerance here for that. (and thanks for the kind and honest words Jake - "yep smooth is a good description" )

Well put mate this is "something to shout about" that is a fair comment, and I will regret selling it too.

Now moving on to the reason for this post, I did say I would get it all out when I had a chance, and I spent 5 hours yesterday doing just that and not one splinter, had to move loads to get to this. Enjoy the pics, i'm ready to strap up and drop at depot. Please contact me for freight

I have a half a cube here of the 3971 year old the most stable of all the ages. That is verifyable by those who have experience with both. (I didnt buy too much old for that reason, however the old is magic stuff it just is a little less stable, its been is a very dry storage situation

In the measurements list theres 5 boards as a separate lot at the bottom of page, who ever goes for the .5 m3 has the option to take it at same rate otherwise I am asking a bit more, it wont be listed till this has played out.

I could see a few people getting together to share this and so many crafts and furniture to ba made from this lot, it i a true bargain and it is a give away, why I need the money to give to the Bankster's or they may take my roof ! The price reflects that cause I NEED IT GONE ASAP ok thats why and I have cubes of other wood and still enough AK shorts to see me out, after this no surplus. I will consider splitting into 3 lots if not sold by end of auction, however price will jump to 4 k m3

(Buyer to pay Paypal fees and delivery fees and costs before dispatch, I'm happy to get a quote to anywhere for you and welcome you to get your own)

Enjoy the pics, the ute is under cover and tarped up, cheers

Here's the seperate OLD lot that is $214 if grabbing the half cube pack otherwise I will sell $300 after the half cube is gone only - To be fair.

    cheers

Just some feedback for potential customers. I've bought a small amount of this timber from Matt that I'm using for pen blanks. I found it to be great quality, and Matt was happy to go the 'extra mile' to accommodate my needs. The package arrived very quickly, and he sent me pics of my order prior to shipping.

(Sounds a bit like eBay feedback!)

I'd recommend this seller & timber.
