    Default Aluminium Plate 38mm thick

I have for your consideration four pieces of aluminium plate 975mm x 570mm x 38mm. The plate, which is recycled, is covered with an enamel paint and has a number of holes in it. It is solid apart from the holes and weighs approx 56Kg.

Please look at the pix below for details of the hole positioning.

There are ten holes that have a plastic sleeve in them. The sleeve is easily pushed out if required, but left in place accommodates a brass bush which is also a neat fit. Some of the small holes (up to half inch diameter) are threaded.

The plate in the picture I will keep and for the purposes of this listing I removed the paint with a strip disc. However as I will be using the plate outside the shed (no more room inside to the point that I must no go up another size around the waist or shed access will become impossible) I did not want bright aluminium glare from the hot Aussie sun.

The plate is almost flat but not good enough if you are a pattern maker. It is easily machined so could become a router or saw table or any other type of setting out plate. The large holes top and bottom (about 75mm dia) will easily accept quick action type clamps. Fences could be positioned using the existing threaded holes.

I am asking $50 each for these plates, which I believe is below the scrap metal value.

Now postage is a big issue: Not really on at all. You are welcome to pick up here in Millmerran, but I appreciate not many of you deliberately head this way. I can deliver to Toowoomba and possibly Brisbane, but you will need to contact me first to agree the arrangements.

I am coming down to Sydney (Katoomba) for FenceFurniture's GTG on 20 November. I could bring the plates down with me but you would have to pick them up on the day. You may know somebody who will be attending and you are welcome to make arrangements with them as a further alternative. The plates cannot be stored at FenceFurniture's house.

I would describe these plates as being in very good condition with just small marks in the painted surface. As I have mentioned these plates are heavy, but not completely unmanageable. We do tend to forget that aluminium is heavier than glass and concrete. Please feel free to ask any questions.

I will also be offering for sale some UHMWP boards in 12mm, 32mm and approx 42mm thicknesses. In addition I have quite a few length of 1" stainless rod and a several lengths of 3/4" stainless rod which I will list separately. The stainless will go up today, but the poly not until early next week.

    Thanks for looking.
    Regards
    Paul

I really must read my posts more carefully.

The paint was removed on just one edge.

The deal includes four of the brass bushes that look like a large nut but are not. They are like a smooth sleeve.
