What he said, and a bit thicker than 30mm as well, so that you have the ability to finish up with two half-inch thick boards when you resaw it and dress it so you can match the grain at all four corners. Sometimes you can get away with 30mm but its good to have a margin for error especially when buying it from a picture and you may need to lose a few extra mm to jointing and thicknessing if the piece is even slightly cupped, bowed or twisted. (having said that, every piece I have ever bought from Mapleman has been useable but I have only bought pieces that have that margin of error, as I d with any timber I buy sight unseen on the net)
