Thread: Dovetailed Mini Coffin Smoother Kit

Two years ago I played around with making a Dovetailed Mini Coffin Smoother. As I am now turning my attention away from tools I am clearing them out.

I had the sides and sole laser cut from O1. I had four kits made for me, I made one smoother for myself. I partially finished one as a gift for a friend and I now have two kits that I have no need for. This kit is just the sides, a sole and a bedding block beveled at 55 degrees.

The assembly of the kit is up to you. However the hard work of cutting out the pieces and get the material has been done for you.

NOTE: This kit has a defect one of the on front dovetails on the sole which is wider then it needs to be you will need to fill it with some solder.

Below is a photo of the infill I made for a friend. It will give you an idea of what you can get from the kit.
