Default Free Hand Tools - Vintage and Handmade

    NOT AN AUCTION

These tools were gifted to me when I was getting a start as a woodworker, so now I'm hoping to do the same. All items are free unless posted, at which time they are $5 each. Sorry, but posting them takes time so I want to at least get a coffee out of the deal.

Please only take them if you plan to use them.

    1. - Sliding bar style mortise gauge. Handmade by IanW, a forums member. From memory, this was one of the earlier mortise gauges Ian made. I can't recall which Rosewood it's made from, but it's definitely one of the Dalbergias.

    2. - Knurled knob style mortise gauge with imperial scale. This is likely a Stanley or a Record, although it doesn't have a brand name on it.

    3. - Handmade "Cohen Style" router plane in Queensland Sheoak (A. torulosa). Uses Veritas router plane blades and, in the opinion of many, is far superior from an ergonomics standpoint. I used this extensively before upgrading to a slightly more complex version of the same body style.

All great tools, so I'm selling them at cost to me. Free! (or five bucks if you can't pick them up).

Pickup in Dutton Park, Brisbane or happy to post AU-wide.

    Cheers,
    Luke

Sounds good. Send me PMs with addresses and I'll get them travelling asap. Likely tomorrow.

    Vintage mortise gauge still available.

Thanks Luke, I was following the build thread of the router plane and I was hoping that one day I would get a look at it in person.

I will PM my address, please reply with postage cost and and bank details.

    Cheers

    Doug
