Default Gawdelpus's C2 Metal Pen Lathe plus accessories

Here is Gawdelpus' (John) super modified C2 metal lathe. He upgraded it to be a better lathe, but also incorporated other upgrades specifically for turning pens between centres.

He has upgraded the main variable speed motor, added a separate variable speed motor drive for the leadscrew (ie lathe speed and leadscrew speeds are independant, so lathe can be going flat out whilst the lead screw can be very slow, the best configuration for turning pens), upgraded the cross slide and installed digital readouts and better hand wheels.

There are plenty of accessories on the mobile trolley in the 2 ball bearing drawers and additional storage areas John has installed. There are multiple tool posts, tool steel, TCT bits, boring cutters, collet chuck with collets, digital callipers, dial gauge, extra chuck, air driven engraver/grinder with mount to tool post, drill chuck and many more.

This is an Auction with a starting bid of $750, or Buy it Now price of $1000

It is available for pick-up my place in Nerang Gold Coast Qld

John was a great bloke and very generous with his time and skill. He volunteered to turn me quite a few pens on this lathe at short notice (on some very special lace sheoak from Dusteater) - when I needed something for my special lady. I am really sorry to hear that he has died ... he seemed so full of life.

I hope that someone who appreciates it buys it. Unfortunately, I have neither the space nor the skill.
