Thread: Much loved 14" heavy duty bandsaw

I have for sale a 14" Carbatec CJT-3501 bandsaw. This has been and still is a great machine that has served very well in the three years I've owned it. Of course this has performed a variety of tasks, including curve cutting etc, but is primarily used for cutting both hardwood and softwood 3mm lams for bent laminations and for cutting 2.5mm veneers, this bandsaw has needed to maintain a good, straight, parallel cut with no drift. The only reason I'm selling is because I need to upgrade to something that can take a 25mm blade for larger work, so I've bought a Hammer N440. I was told this new saw wouldn't be available till after Christmas so I've just given the CJT a once-over in preparation for it's next project and bought three new 12mm 3tpi, bi-metal blades from Henry Brothers - not the cheapie ones, these last 3 times as long as a regular blade and cost $45 each. One is on the bandsaw and has cut less than 20m of pine and the other two are still in the box. I just had a call that I can pick up the Hammer today, so I'm selling the faithful friend. Includes a very sturdy and accurate rip fence with a magnifying glass over the readings and a home-made tall fence that makes taller (up to 180mm) work so much easier.

Current list price for the CJT-3501 at Carbatec is $949, (see here for more specs) plus the new blades comes near enough to $1100. I'm selling the lot for $650 which is roughly half-price for the bandsaw plus the blades. No bids, just state, "I'll take it."

I am located in Northmead, Sydney (basically north Parramatta) and I'm assuming that due to the size this is a pick-up only. However, if you want to arrange shipping, I will label appropriately. If need be I can also deliver in the Sydney metro in exchange for a nice piece of timber
