Neodymium rare earth magnets
Neodymium magnets 3mm thickness, in 19,10 and 6mm diameters, made in Taiwan. Not an auction. Can't be shipped by air at a sensible cost, so probably Victoria only
1. 19 * 3mm, pack of 6. Sold at Carbatec for $25. Asking $17
2. 10 * 3mm, pack of 10. Carbatec $18 same hyperlink. Asking $12
3. 6 * 3mm, pack of 10. Carbatec 5mm magnets are $11, same hyperlink. Asking $7
I'll do discounts for multiple packs especially if you want any large tools as well!
If you're interstate I don't mind shipping if you know the rules, apparently they have to be shipped in a steel lined box. I've got lots of these, so if the ad is here safe to assume they are still available. Postage at cost.

G'day, sorry about the delay, I unexpectedly had to work this weekend and got punished. My Aunt is in rehab in Glen Iris (chemotherapy, went badly but now getting better). I'm overdue a visit, might be able to drop them off for you. Alternatively I'm hopefully FINALLY going to get to the post office tomorrow and will find out how much postage costs, just a bit worried that by the time we add postage you might be better off going to Carbatec!

Don't mean to throw a bucket of cold water over this add but why would you buy these from Carbatec? Just bought a pack of twenty 10mmx3mm rare earth magnets from ebay for $5.49 including postage.

Fair question. I'm told, quality. Rust resistance. Impact resistance. Magnetic coercivity. Machining accuracy/size variability. Have a look at all the Australian companies that specialise in magnets, I can't find any that are nearly that cheap. However, given lack of interest, cutting the price is probably a good idea.

Sorry about that post there DanMM.
I used to buy rare earth magnets from someone here in Aust (for top dollar), but when I found out how cheap they were online via ebay....that was the end of my Aussie seller. Fact is as far as I can tell that they all come from China anyway. So no point in paying an Aussie middle man. Not saying you are one, just like me you may not have realised.

That's alright mate, it's an interesting point, I can see what you mean about prices on eBay, they are REALLY cheap. I'm curious because I checked a few Aussie internet resellers before listing, and they all had similar prices to these ones. Can I ask you whether you get similar performance out of them? I mean obviously you do otherwise you wouldn't keep buying them. Interested in your opinion, generally I get a bit twitchy about goods direct from China. Manufacturing standards are hit and miss to say the least. Bridge Made of Rubbish Collapses in Shanghai, China

They seem to be identical in every way. In fact I wouldn't mid betting they all come from there in the first place. It is astonishing you can get 20x 20mmx3mm for $5.49 INCLUDING postage! Normally I also get twitchy about Chinese made things however at that price it's too good to knock back.

Yep that's pretty impressive. I'll withdraw them from sale if there's that little difference, that would explain relative lack of interest. I'm planning to order some cheap ones and do a comparison (going to use a compass at 7 feet and look for deflection, a couple of packs of the 19mm magnets cause appreciable deflection which I'm told means it's a criminal offense to ship them. I'm astonished you can provide proper shipping from China for $5.49 as well! I'll let you know if there's any difference. For the record these are allegedly made in Taiwan, but I guess China supplies most of the world's rare earths so you're probably right about the origin of the materials.
For now I'll just keep them all, thank goodness they don't go mouldy!
Cheers, Dan
