Northern Silky Oak (Cardwellia sublimis)
NorthernSilky Oak, from Atherton Tableland
This is select grade (Quarter sawn) it was cut in 2001.
There are four piecesavailable they are all 26mm thick
a, 133 x 1935mm.
b, 124 x 1960mm.
c, 133 x 1950mm.
d, 174 x 1965mm.
Dry weight is approx.550 kg/m3. therefore this stack of four would be approx.16.5kg.Total.
I accentuated thegrain with mentholated spirits for the photo's.
This timber is part ofa collection now on the market.
It is located in NorthNSW, Tumbulgum. 2490.

This quality is not available any more,
you shouls see my veneer I am going to sell...
100 Sheets all cut one after the other.
Cut in 1965, thicknes 1/20th just over 1 mm thick.
width range from 250 mm to 450 mm.
Length of veneer 2600 mm long.
Very wide rays.
