Large Plum Burl
I have a large plum burl that I was lucky enough to come into possession. The actual burl itself measures approximately 440 mm long by 270 mm wide and 130 mm high, the log that the burl is attached too is much bigger. I have no idea how much to charge for this item. I am pretty sure that its not a common thing. So I will let the market set the price via auction. Would be ideal for a bowl or pen turner or even a tool maker.
The piece was cut down just over a year ago and was waxed asap and has been in the garage ever since. The log as some cracks but the burl is sound.
Pick up only from Coburg Melbourne only and I would prefer if you deposit cash directly into my bank account. You are welcome to come around and inspect.

Hi Thumbsucker,
I am interested in the plum burl. What price were you thinking?

As I said I have no idea on what its worth. So I will just let the Auction run its course and see what the market decides.
You may get it for the $50 or more.

Ok Cheers,
I have placed a bid, but the bid doesn't seem to be registering above? Not sure how this works.
