QMP & BSL blocks, suit grinders etc.
Two blocks, suit whatever
Queensland maple:70 x 70 x 310, arris damage to one corner because I was cross feeding it to dress to prevent tear out and she swung and bit (and didn't that go with a bang!). Some tear out on the reverse face because I didn't want to do that again. One minor pinhole borer track on an arris.... Both arris faults are minor and will turn out easily.
Brown Sal (A.crassicarpa):70 x 70 x 320. Bark enclosure on the end, but will cut a clear 295 - my docker don't like these shorts so you tidy that up and I get to keep my fingers. Another little bark enclosure in the middle but it's quite shallow and will turn out
This timber is dry and ready to go, been through the kiln, no waiting about required. Price includes postage Australia wide.
This isnot an auction.

Need a lathe
Maybe one day I'll finally buy a lathe and be able to use these sections.

Split it down with a bandsaw, make some boxes, spare it from the chisels.
i watched a guy turnings legs out of some 150 x150s fresh from the oven the other day. Beautiful work, and enough beef to look "right" under a big table ... but enough of my good maple hitting the floor to smoke the whole pig not just a side of bacon!

Yes, I do like to slice it thin and show the full beauty if I can. Maybe that's why I don't have a lathe - although inexperience with turning also has a major role in that, so I speak with empty words! I produce too much sawdust to be able to hold the high moral ground. I need thinner kerf saws! You know the environmental bureaucratic "no harm"? Well, I want 'no waste', 'zero kerf' (or almost) saws! Impossible I know, but who can deny the beauty?
