Default Quality Socomec 460 Italian Bandsaw

Selling a top quality Italian bandsaw Socomec 460 (between 18 and 20" in the old measure). This isn't the usual Chinese/Taiwanese offering being much better quality European manufacture with top Euro guides, cast wheels, large cast table, cast fence etc. Selling in close to new condition with original instruction manual and a stack of blades between 3/8" and 1". It also has a custom mobile trolley with castors raised via cam levers which works a treat. I'd prefer to not use the auction process so if you have interest you can use "buy it now" or post "i'll take it" and it's yours. Priced to sell at $900 which is not much more than a 1/3rd of the replacement price. Specs as follows: Wheel diameter:460mm, blade 6-25mm, cutting 450mm, max cutting 280mm, Motor: 3p (415V) 2HP, table size: 490 x 540mm. Dimensions: 1950high (including mobile base) 600deep x 900 wide, Weight: Around 200kg. Pick up from Brisbane Northern suburbs, I can help you get it on a trailer or whatever freight options you prefer.

    Default Good lookng Band Saw

Hi this may be an option for me. I currently have a 19"CarbaTec Industrial.
Did you sort out the wheel alignment and tyre issues from July?
    regards
    Bill

    Default Socomec

Bill, best you come and take a look. Theres no doubting the saws quality. As for wheel alignment, I followed the professional guidance from Alex Snodgrass which clearly advised to not try and get the top and bottom wheels coplanar and instead run them as factory setup. New blades soon fixed any resawing drift issues and the saw runs beautifully. The only reason I am selling the SOCOMEC is that I have had an opportunity to upgrade the saw to a 24" unit which suits the deep resawing that I almost exclusively use the saw for. I'll PM you my contact details should you wish to take a look.

Default SOCOMEC being listed on Gumtree

In the hope of attracting a quicker sale and reaching more potential buyers in the market for 3 phase machines, I intend to drop the asking price and list the Socomec on Gumtree. As such I am happy for this listing to be closed to ensure I am not in breach of any listing rules. Please check out Gumtree if there is any interest.
