    Default SOLID GOLD BLOCK SHEOAK

Was milling the other day and came across this gem of a piece ,to get a piece this size with a beautiful marbled lace all the way thru it ,is like finding a fresh pile of proverbial rocking horse s***. The size is 400mm x 300mm x 140mm ,and weighs in at approx 15Kgs.
So I`m going to put it up for auction, and we`ll see how it fairs .

It came from the same tree as the piece we used to make the pepper grinder , by the way Sheila has fallen totally in love with it,I`m surprised she hasn`t put pepper on her cereal just to use it one more time.Anyhow back to the Lace , I started to cut up the rest of the tree ,the lace was only in about 2ft of the base and after I trimmed out some rot and cracks I ended up with this one large piece and some good pepper grinder blanks ,box making pieces and a few fantastic pen blanks.I can see myself developing an obsession with Lace
