Spalted, punky Blackwood.
Some time age I raised a question regarding spalted and punky blanks and some said that some may be interested. It's dry now and so here is are some pieces. See what you all think. They are Blackwood. Acacia melanoxylon I would appreciate some feed back to help me get an idea of sizes and type of stuff you all use and what it's actually worth. The sizes are written on each piece if you zoom in on the first Pic.
Thanks, Tim

I'll take 4 or 6 (depending on price) 375 x 75 x 75 if you have that quantity of that size. I'm here in Adelaide so I could pick them up if u like.

Hi John. These are one lot. Photographed from all sides so 4 and 6 are the same. It is an auction because I want to gauge the prices people are willing to pay. I hope that's ok. Its difficult to know what to charge because you don't see many selling this stuff. I'm actually in Mt Gambier. So pickup may not be an option.

I kinda suspect you might need to come up with a figure to really gauge the interest or lack thereof, for myself if I was closer and interested I'd probably go with an offer of $20 or so simply to see if it was accepted.
Having an open ended unknown price tends to put most people off, unless they're particularly desperate for the goods I find.
Use wise some wider boards would be nice for the occasional inlay on a box, apart from that, slice it all up into stabilised pen blanks, a somewhat costly and time consuming affair IMHO.
cheers, Ian

Thanks for the info Ian. I've had a bid on these and I think I'm going to close it down and sell to the bidder. I'm having all sorts of trouble with the site. My account isn't working properly. I hope Neil the moderator see's this an contacts me. Does this post show a bid when you look at it through your account? It doesn't on mine. My account has stopped showing notifications. Thank goodness I get the emails.
