    Default Tree trunk slices

Hi, I'm looking for tree trunk slices, doesn't really matter what type of tree. Hopefully something <100mm thick and between 100-400mm in diameter. Something like this picture for reference. Doesn't have to be such a smooth cut like the photo.

Anyone have anything like this available or can give me some pointers on where to get them? I'm not using them to craft anything, just for some events decoration, so the quality of the timber really doesn't matter. Looking for at least 10 slabs.

Landscape supply yards may be able to help. They used to sell them as steps in the lawn.

Hi, try the tree loppers - they are cutting trees down every day.

    Regards

I happen to have 10 that I made up for my wedding last year. They are about 20-30mm thick and have been sanded and oiled. I'll try to get some pics tonight.

Are you by any chance also looking for some French lanterns to go on top?

    regard,

I provide quite a few camphor ones to Sydney and central coast, but you are in the wrong direction.
Brisbane wood show may have some?

Thanks all for the suggestions. Eamon that sounds great, are you in the brisbane area? I actually don't know what's to go on top, as my girlfriend is the one helping with planning some deco, and she just asked me to find some of these things for her.

    Ximanz, your inbox is full...

Here are some pictures of the wood slices and the lanterns, plus some photos of photos of them set up at the wedding. I have since thrown out the table numbers which were small slices of a tree branch with the numbers burnt into the wood. It turned out really nice, though the one picture there that shows it is not the best quality.

I was looking for about $15 each for the wood bases and the lanterns together (including candles). Can throw in 10 hexagonal jars if required that we used as small flower vases.

If you are really just after the wood, how does $3 each sound?

I am located in Kenmore, Brisbane.

    regards,
    Eamon

    Hi Eamon

That sounds great, I'm only after the wood, and Kenmore isn't far from me at all, I cleared my inbox so you should be able to PM me your address and maybe a phone number, and I'll arrange a time with you to pop by and buy them off you.

    Cheers,

    Xi
