    Default Walnut veneer for sale

I have recently acquired 5000 ish sqare feet of veneer.
A large proportion is walnut, not sure if it is Astralian or European at this stage so personal inspection is recommended.
Have around 1000 sqauare feet of it available at the moment in variety of widths from 4" to over 12" some plain veneer and some figured.

Looking for $2.50 per sq ft can sell in small or large quantity as required.

    Hi David,

    What a great find.
Four of my students are going to be making grandfather clocks and I would consider the veneer as an extra feature in their work. I would probably be looking at 30 sq ft of the 12 inch figured walnut.

Problem is, I'm on the other side of the country. Could you please post some photos of 'typical' figured veneers up for offer, and would you consider posting the veneers?

    Thanks,
    Craig

    Default Walnut veneer

If this is the kind of deep brown to purple walnut from the northern hemisphere - usually referred to as Black Walnut, then I'd be interested in a quantity - about 60 square feet as well - if you'll post to Sydney. Would prefer minimum of 180mm wide - and of course would also be looking for whatever figured pieces could be included.

I think the general consensus is that some pictures would be very helpful.

    Cheers

    Hi Mark

I'd very much like to get hold of about 10 sq ft of the veneer please. I'll give you a call to arrange to come and get it if that's OK.

    Hi

I'd also be interested in some veneer. What is the thickness? Like others, I'd love some pics.

    Default walnut veneer photos

Hi,finally got round to taking some photos of the walnut, grain shown is fairly typical, there,s probably a good 2000+ sqaure feet of it.

Most is standard thickness around the .6mm or so, some is a bit thicker.

Looks more like European walnut but I am not an expert.
Yesterday I found quick way of removing my lens.....mount camera on tripod and procede to allow wifey to knock over.

I have some curly maple in amongst the rest and it is to die for ! but that's another story.

Not sure I want to get involved in the rolling and sending of veneers really as I can imagine what the postal service will do to it.

Happy to allow inspection and pickup or can arrange delivery locally.

I'd be interested in a few sq feet if you could see your way into cutting to size and placing in a prepaid satchel between, say, a couple of pieces of thinnish mdf

Default Would you post to Bundaberg?

Hi Mark, I'd be interested in some for making a backgammon board, would you consider sandwiching sheets between say 3mm MDF and posting in a satchel? I'd buy enough to make it worth the effort and if anyone else in the Bundy area wants some we can combine our needs.

    Default Looks good.

The pictures look great - I'm definitely interested in about 60sq ft if you can figure a way to send to Sydney. Or maybe you could send one larger package here and I could distribute to anyone else on this side who is keen?

Just clarifying that the left and right illustrations are of Queensland Walnut. The middle illustration probably is too though its so highly figured its hard to say.

Still nice though. I would be interested in some of the highly figured stuff. Can you provide more photos of the highly figured stuff?

Postage could be just flat, cut into say 600mm lengths.
    Cheers

I would also like to get some of this and also the curly maple that was mentioned. I would happily combine with an order. I understand you're hesitation in posting the veneer but if packed between thin mdf sheet I am sure we would all be happy to pay for the packing and postage. I am sure if you were prepared to pack and post you will get a very good response from the forum and if we could get together and do multiple orders so you could post several to the one destination and they we could collect from there.
    Regards Rod.
