Default Woodfast Scroll Saw 550mm throat 240 volt

Australian Made Woodfast Scroll Saw. Solid old machine in good working order. 240 volt motor. This machine has an incredible 550mm deep throat. It has the usual stratches etc from use and the machined cast iron table is rusty due to having been stuck in a storeroom unused for quite a while. It comes on a sheet metal base, but could be dettached from this base to sit on a workbench if required. There is no blade supplied with this machine. While local pick-up from Zillmere is preferred, I MAY be able to help with transport for some petrol money (assuming you are not too far from Zillmere). Buy-it-now price is $100. Just say "I'll take it" if you want to buy it. (This is not an auction). Thanks.

    Hi Ben,

I am interested but need to know if it will fit in my workshop as it looks large - and if I can get it there (it is down a steep slope). Do you know, or can you estimate the weight please? One, two or three person lift?
    Also, what are its dimensions?

    Regards

    David

    Default Scrollsaw

Ben. I'm keen but the physical size might make it difficult to fit in where I have in mind. If you're happy to hold it for an inspection I'll take a look this weekend and confirm one way or the other.

    Default Scrollsaw

Sorry David. Hadn't seen your note. Only fair you have first right of reply.
Ben, if David can't fit it in I'll take a look this weekend.

    Default Scroll Saw Dimensions

Hi David and Flindersia, Thanks for your enquires about the scroll saw. The foot print of the stand is approx. 850 x 475mm. If you were to dettach it from the base to mount to a workbench, the footprint of the actual machine is approx. 835 x 220mm. The mass of the machine - I always find that hard to estimate - but at a guess, perhaps 70 or 80kgs. It is a two person lift.

That sounds good Ben, I'm sure that I can squeeze that in if I can get some help to put it in a trailer. I.E I'll take it please. Please PM me with payment and address details and I'll transfer the money this weekend. What time is convenient for you to collect? I'll have to get a trailer and don't know if my shared one is available this weekend. If it is I could come tomorrow (will let you know once I go to storage and check) but if not can come one morning during the week if that suits.
    Regards

    David
