WTB - Depth stop screw for Stanley #78
Hi all,
I've recently acquired a Stanley #78 mostly intact for a good price, and while I do have both the depth stop and fence, the depth stop is without it's screw.
I'm led to believe that there are two different screws depending on the plane's age, however I've had little luck finding information on dating the #78. I assume mine is the later type though, it is marked as made in Canada, and has the Stanley Sweetheart logo on the iron.
Cheers,
Sean

So I discovered today that the cap lever screw off of a #151 spokeshave also fits (it's longer than the depth stop screw, but the thread and hole go the whole way through the #78 so it's not a problem). To clarify, this is the thumb screw that tensions the cap against the blade, not the screw that holds the cap.
If anyone has a #151 cap lever screw floating around I'll gladly purchase it
