Re-toother-matic
It's a bit unfortunate, I think, that this section isn't a sub-section to the Hand Tools Unpowered forum.
But anywhoos
... having rewatched Paul Sellers' video on setting up a wooden guide for retoothing
... and thought "maybe that would be better in that urethane stuff"
... and checking first to see if I'd already posted the video (I had)
... and seeing a comment that threaded rod would give you that regularity
I rediscovered BobL's retoothermatic, and figured it needed a link here.

Sometimes the simplest things can elude us. I like it. A lead screw indexer. I can see boring a divit for a ball bearing in the indexer to allow one to file in 1/2 increments at a time. ie: instead of just 10, 11, 12, etc. It could easily go to 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, etc. Click=1/2point, click=1 full pt.. All though, I am not sure why any one would. Then again there are some that would file a saw with say 12.5* rake. Really? No doubt a noticeable difference from 12* rake or 13* rake. Personally, I always preferred 12.375* rake. Just different strokes for different folks. Bet wishes.
