Nicely done although I must say I quite liked the first version with the longer cutaway.
Kind of reminiscent of a nib on a hand saw.

Hi Dale. I use a combination of both buffing methods to work up a shine on the backsaw.

Very nice! What's the tooth profile: rip or crosscut (I guess crosscut)? Also, did you consider another handle screw? Another also: where did you source the blade plate?

The answer to your questions. Its been sharpened rip tooth; 10 degrees negative rake so its also compatible for crosscut work; I purchased 0.020 and 0.025 saw plate through this forum.
