    Default Saw handle screw hole drilling templates

    I made these up to simplify the process of locating screw hole positions in handle blanks. Pictured are templates for dovetail, small and large backsaw, and Disston D-8 thumbhole. These will be placed over the sawn stock blank and 5/32" pilot holes will be bored.

    You don't clamp your work when using the counterbore??

    I made up some more of these today to cover new (to me) designs.

    They are from the upper left a Wenzloff style dovetail, Disston D-8 crosscut, Wenzloff Harvey Peace crosscut, Disston D-7, triple cove backsaw, Wenzloff half-back and a double cove dovetail/carcass, my version of Stewie's dovetail handle (https://www.woodworkforums.com/f278/burdekin-plum-backsaw-183771). The aluminum plates are the hole drilling guides and the polycarbonate outlines are the guides for drawing the profile on planks.
