Default Hardness testing of saw plates

Has anybody posted a study here? I looked but have not found a systematic study of the hardness of the blades of various makers saws.

The difference in saw steel hardness between the different saw makers is probably beyond my interest Rob. As long as it can be resharpened I am at ease with that knowledge.

Well, I know that not all makers use 1095 steel in their plates. When I was doing more research on this and looking for vendors, I found the suppliers imported a lot of the steel into the US from places like Japan, India, etc. The steel I use is 1095 RC 48-51. Probably more like RC 50. But without a tester you are stuck taking the word of the supplier. Some suppliers are opting to go with a 1075 or 1085 that is hardened to RC52.
