Help with building a modified saw horse
Hi there,
This is an odd heading as I am not sure where to post this nor quite how to explain my problem. I work with hand tools mostly and want to be able to cut wood using a saw. I am a seated woodworker and want to build a modified saw horse with the traditional “v” at one end. I have no clue of what to build or how to go about it.
Anyone seen anything like this or any ideas, I would be most grateful. Robyn

If you Google "Plans for a traditional sawhorse" it should bring up several photos and ideas which you may be able to modify to suit your needs.
Hope that helps and good luck.Tom

Do a google search under images for "shaving horse" too as you may be able to adapt something. The shaving horse has a clamping system to hold the work, but it is foot operated. You may be able to get around this with a hand lever if required.

Hi Robyn,
Not a set of plans but popular woodworking just put on YouTube a video of Chris Schwarz taking a class on making these.
YouTube
In the video he uses only hand tools but the process would be largely the same if you intend to burn an electron or two.
Regards,
Adam
