Of course. Some custom tool manufacturers, Bridge City Tools for instance, also sell seconds but they're indelibly marked as such. I've seen a Wenzloff saw sold on eBay that had a double-struck stamp on the back. The seller thought that mistake/feature made the saw 'rare' and 'collectible'. I don't recall that it was marked as a second.
