    Default A look at how Disston did It

    4 short videos inside the Disston Factory showing the saws being made. disston Search Results | CriticalPast.com: Page 1

    One point they show a saw blank being ground and say it is grinding the edges smooth, I suspect it could possibly be taper grinding?

    That is an excellent find, Dale!

    Intriguing and valuable footage. Literally valuable, apparently

    In the fourth one, where they describe "embossing" ... I think it might be flattening the plate again after the toothing operation.
    There also seems like there might be a rotating wheel of some sort bearing on the teeth ... hard to tell the relative distances.
