    Thanks Dale,

Just to let you know, my hand size indicates an extra-large tote blank and template according to the guidelines on the website you referred me to.

I have ordered the standard dovetail saw to make at the workshop, with a carcase saw kit to take home. I do not know how much stock you have to make up kits, but if you have enough left over once all attendees have placed their initial order, if there is a kit for the thin kerf dovetail saw and another carcase saw kit available, I would be delighted to have them. Happy to pay for matching blanks for totes of course.

Can i have the privelige of being the first one to be a PITA and change their original preference? I opted for the needle file but I have realized that I want the other file for the standard dovetail saw, but the needle file when I do the thin -kerf one later, if a kit is available.

The aim is to eventually have 4 saws, two dovetail, both filed rip, thin kerf about 15 tpi or finer and standard about 12 point, and two carcase saws, both filed crosscut and again one with 15tpi or finer and the other one about 12 tpi.

I am happy to let everyone get their workshop kit and extras first. I dont want to be greedy and I dont know how many kits can be assembled from the available materials, but once everyone is set if this is possible please let me know and I will purchase the extras I have indicated. If you have plenty of materials and there is no danger of a shortage, let me know and I can pay for the extras I want straight up. I would be happy to pay for a couple of files of each size if thats possible too.

Once again, if I can help with anything towards preparation for the workshop please let me know.

    Cheers

    Doug

So far I only have a small bunch of saw files, and I am yet to order the needle files. I'm a bit confused if you want to change your order for the file size or if possible just get at least one additional file in the other size.

I am getting more orders for extra kits than I was expecting so will have to see how we go with stock. If there is left overs they will definitely be for sale. Pac man is the first to have put his hand up for left over kits if he can't make it to the workshop. Will have to see how we are travelling with materials.

with the files, If all I can have is one, then I want the larger one so I can make the 12 tpi dovetail saw at the workshop but if possible I would like two of each size to get me through all 4 saws I would like to make and maintain them.

As for kits, I am trying to be considerate of others and only order the one I want to make at the workshop and one other to take away initially up until everyone has ordered something similar in the interests of making sure everyone gets their first choice. But once all who want two kits are satisfied then I would like a third (first preference the thin-kerf dovetail) and if the option comes round for a fourth selection then another carcase saw kit.

    Does that make sense?

    Cheers

Not sure how this is all playing out but if people are ordering more than two kits and this is ok, just let me know. If you are prepared to accept my order for the other two kits up front, just let me know and I will transfer $100 for the kits and $10 for the matching totes today. I have just been trying to be considerate of others, while not knowing how many kits were available. If you can accommodate me for the extra files let me know the cost and I can do that too.

I just dont want to see anyone miss out because I ordered more than my fair share, but if four kits all-up is fine, just amand my original order and I will pay the difference.

    Cheers
