    Another really nice saw! In regards to the stamp I think it could be a little higher up, but that doesn't bother me very much. The current front third does look wrong to me though. So I'd vote for centred.

    Based on earlier comment I'm thinking your stamping with the blade glued into the spine?

    Stewie, great work. FWIW my view is centre <--I-->. And, lower 1/3 ˄˅, which looks like where you have it.
    Cheers

    The completed Queensland Myrtle backsaw.

    I have also provided a photo of the previously made Black Walnut Backsaw with the stamp positioned more to the center of the hardback's length. (much better option)

    (Unfortunately the clarity of brass back stamps did not show up very within both of these photo's.)

    Send me a pm if your interested in purchasing one of these backsaws.

    regards Stewie;

    Late to the party as always. Don't get around much these days.
    I do prefer the more golden saw, myself. But both look very nice. As far as the location of the stamp, I actually prefer the center of the plate. I generally center any logo on the plate first then simply draw a vertical line to center the back etch/ stamp. I have seen them all over the place. So this is just a preference for me. Best wishes.
