Taunton appear to be prompt (in most cases) to reply to emails.

I hope we get more than just lip service.

    Actions speak louder than words!!

    Cheers.

    #187 arrived today

No sign of # 186

As 187 is the current issue mailout I don't quite follow the hit and miss arrivals - is it Oz Post or....?
I would have thought that they would have all arrived within a day or 2 of each other.

    #187 arrived two days ago.
So I am all up to date.
I have been in the situation that you guys are in and it was all sorted in a short time, I think that the fact the it has happened to so many people it has taken them by supprise. SO JUST B PATIENT

You think you have a problem!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing to what happened to me today.
I was to fly to Brisbane today with my son his partner and baby Lila, who are staying for a week mainly to see Great Grandad N Grandad. He is sick and will never be able to travel back over here. I was to go to the GTG at Rockers place this weekend. Still going...
They are on full fares so they got on, I am on standby not a problem as there are plenty of seats so I WILL be on.
But NO, there is a problem with my ticket:eek:
When I did the booking on the computer at work [ and I can only do it from work] when I continued to the next screen all the dates changed unbeknownes to me. So when I front up to checkin nothing in the system as the departure and arrival date are past, soooooooo gone from the system [the part that they had access to].
Go to service desk to sort it out, no probs I am thinking. Yea Right!!!!!!!!!!!

    Same thing NOTHING

Am told to go and buy another ticket and put this in for a refund and these two guys at customer service really just said GOOD LUCK if it is not in system how do you get refund.
Walk away calmly and I mean calmly.   with myself for not checking the final ticket.
Then went upstairs to see the departing travellers that they are on there own, no time to explain just push them through to imigration, go and have a cup of coffee and calm down. I was calm really, for what I had just put myself through.

    PLane has gone

Anyhow went back to work to buy new ticket and just though I would check back on past bookings, BINGO there it is. Find a different number in booking. Ring Resevations and explain the situation, nothing, she says that she will transferr me back to just where the orriginal booking would have been done. In about 10 sec. this lady has all the info. So has changed all the bookings for me to fly tomorrow. No probs. Yea right. Plane is almost full and a good number of people on standby at this stage more than there empty seats.

So tomorrow I will now go out again and try to get out and will have drive straight up to Rockers. I hope.

All my own Bl#*dy fault for not checking the ticket. Th Moral of the story is,

SLOW DOWN AND TAKE YOUREEEEEEEEEE TIME WHEN BOOKING TICKETS.

Any way I will get to see my father-in-law at least one day on Sunday ten fly home on Monday.

There is alot more to the story that I will not bore you with.

    Cheers Peter

Now I think that it is time for a BEER or 2

I still haven't received my two missing issues. I think their service has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I wrote to confirm that mine had been sent. I was told they had been but to allow 10 to 12 weeks for them to arrive. I could fly over there, have a holiday, pick them up from the Taunton office and still be home before they get here.

Last time I ordered a replacement, it showed up within a week. Oh well, nothing lasts forever. Maybe their shipping arrangements were costing too much and fell foul of the bean counters.

Is it possible that people in the middle east are reading our FWW magazines at the moment?

I presume you will be soon - just make sure you get a good looking one.

I'm still waiting for FWW #186. Can't see why we have to wait 12 weeks because of their stuff-up.

It seems that the new Dromedary GTX is rated 8/10 for ride comfort, but only 6/10 for comeliness. Looks like form is taking a back seat to function this year.

Which Camel? I know I shouldn't be surprised nowadays as there are magazines for everything but "Which Camel?" is one I wouldn't have dreamed up.

I let them know I wasn't happy, pointed them to this thread got a replacement sent out (about three weeks ago ... which still hasn't turned up) then #187 rolled up a week later then #186 rolled up the day later via the Dominican Republic ... wow

But I'm happy now let's just hope it doesn't happen too often

It wasn't difficult at all, but thanks for the compliment
