Default Big Shout Out for Axminster Tools UK

Been trying to get some router bits to use with a Leigh D4 jig that I recently bought from another member. Already had the two spiral straight bits that are needed so just wanted to buy 3 dovetail bits, preferably with 8mm and 1/2" shanks. Those of you in the know would be aware that longer shanks are required for the jig. The only things I could find in Australia were sets that included many bits I didn't want or the smaller bits with 1/4" shanks. Had a good search of US sites where the postage cost was universally extortionate.

Finally found the genuine Leigh bits available individually at Axminster and was very pleasantly surprised on checkout when the postage was under $9 for the 3 bits. Arrived two weeks after the order was placed. Very happy.

Now to see if I can work out how to use the jig.

I have also had excellent experiences with Axminster - almost always ship the same day and delivery time is usually 6-7 days, so 11 days reflects covid. Best is under four days.

I find postage from the UK is still generally reasonable (bless good old Royal Mail...) at at time when US Postal Service has jacked their prices up substantially. Apparently they finally worked out that they were losing money???

Also had good service from Axminster
