Thread: Skills, quality and thanks Crowie

Hey, It's just a case of appreciating the efforts, skills and craftsmanship of other woodworkers.

I don't know that I deserve singling out for any special thanks.

Many blokes on this forum helped & encouraged me and my efforts when I started to post so it's a matter of "paying it forward"!

Everyone who has a go, deserves encouragement, as working with wood is such a rewarding relaxing stress free hobby.

Life has way too many curved balls, so why not be someone who encourages, it's easy and free to give away......

As they say, encouragement can be a great motivator to learning new skills. We all started somewhere on the journey to woodworking, no matter whether it’s turning, carving, modelling, furniture making etc. I love looking at what everyone is doing, it’s inspiring. The shed offers me distractions from the day to day issues that many of us experience, just the joy of the radio going in the background, concentrating on the job at hand (well sometimes), clearing the mind and the end results are often reward enough. The shed has been a no go zone for a few weeks and a few to go yet, I’m looking forward to a bit of noise, dust and the smell of beeswax.
