You sure about that?
Like mine, it doesnt seem to have any U axis other than the eccentric.
So while mine can do external grinding, its just a tad limited, with a 0.040" wheel I can external grinder anything up to 0.060" :D
At least as I understand it, hopefully I'm wrong.

Well , you may be right Stuart, the machine shown is a bit small. We had a larger version (Heald) in the machine shop at TAA/Australian Airlines that we used for external as well as internal grinding. Ansett had one as well.

There is a New Visby on gumtree in victoria . Don't know how to up load it on here.2500 appears to be ok good old hack clunker for some one good for a days work always. John.ps by the look of the Purcell name and date on casting on the motor acces door is a late wartime machine maybe due to pattern wear.fudgy clarity in door casting.
