    Default Grrrr shonky ebayers....

A few days ago I started bidding on this little item

Pedestal Drill - Brobo Waldown - 3 Phase | eBay

A short time before the finish of the auction the seller canceled everyone's bid then today the same drill pops up with a different seller

eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

Looks like a scam to me, I would contact ebay about, not sure if they will do anything though.

Worth nothing like the opening amount IMO. Look at the skinny column and lack of rack adjustable table height etc.

That was my thoughts too Dave...But why a different back ground in both photos?
wonder if someone bought it at a price the original seller couldnt refuse (hence the cancellation), and the new owner is now reselling?

I cant work that out, but the adds are definitely worded the same.
If someone bought it why would it still be at the factory? mmm, not sure whats going on there.

I'd seen that and I'm not sure what to make of it.
The jaws are just an add on. I have one much like it.
It looks like a shaper vice but I'm not sure the screw goes thought the fixed jaw(as they normally do on shaper vices), certainly no nuts on the back. If the screw is working in compression there doesnt seem to be much at the other end to take the thrust?

Yes, on second view it does seem to be just like a normal machine vice(except for the 4 mounting points). The thread appears to be LH so it would be working in compression. The jaws are obviously way to big for the vice, replacements would have to be made.

    Hi Lamestllama,

If they are both the same machine, someone has gone to a LOT of trouble with the relisting to make them seem diffferent.. I'm suspicious, but not completely convinced that are the same machine..

    Regards

Ask the second seller to take a pic of the motor nameplate 'so you can check with your sparky friend', and compare the serial number with the one visible in one of the first auction shots (3M9505 or 3M9503 or something close to that).
